1) Smart Attendance System:
Abstract: The smart attendance system is a biometric parameter based attendance registration system. It can be used in colleges or schools preferably. The use of Bluetooth connectivity gives it mobility which is an edge over the existing models of the biometric attendance systems. This system consists of an Adafruit Finger Print Sensor, an Arduino Uno R3 board, a HC05 Bluetooth module, a breadboard for interconnectivity and a 16x2 JHD162A LCD screen. All these together makes the system work with a 5V 1-2A input connection to the Arduino board. The entire connection is stored in a box made of light material to limit weight. The fingerprint sensor has a very sensitive approach towards the checking procedures which makes it practically impossible to proxy other’s attendances. The time wasted during the attendance taking procedure in every class had to be reduced. So this device was made. The mobility of the whole setup ensures that the time taken by students lining up in front of the device is limited. Hence time is saved as well.

2) Wearable Wrist Band for Health Monitoring and Prognosis
Abstract :Over the last few years, the design and development of wearable biosensor technology for health monitoring has garnered tremendous attention in the scientific society and industries. The emerging trend of health monitoring and health management is resulted due to the technical advancements in the field of sensor manufacturing and wireless sensor networking. This integrated technology enabled the proactive personal health management which comprises of selective physiological sensor placement, sensor interfacing, sensor networking, data transmission via transceiver modules and data processing. This technical encroachment is mainly beneficial to the people undergoing routine health check-up because it reduces the physical toil of going to the healthcare centres and ultimately saves their productive time. The proposed device delineates the design and development of a low-cost wearable unobtrusive wrist band for monitoring the health parameters, namely, blood pressure, heart rate and surface body temperature, and transmitting the data to the healthcare givers. The hardware was realized with the help of physiological sensors, namely, blood pressure sensor and thermistor in conjunction with Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller board.  An android application was designed which allows the smartphone of the user to connect to the device via Bluetooth. During the scheduled check-up time, the user triggered a control command using the android application, which in turn, initiated the sensors of the stand-alone wearable device. The sensors recorded the body parameters and sent them back to the smartphone. Bluetooth was used as the mode of data transmission. The parameters, along with timestamp, were stored as text documents and were shared with the healthcare givers through e-mail. The proposed device provides the ease of usage by any kind of people any-where at any-time.

3) Smart Licence:
Abstract :Our current study delineates the development of a prototype of Smart Driving License System (SDLS). The first part of the system is the RFID card with your basic information stored in it. Whereas the second part of the system is a scanning unit attached to your vehicle’s ignition system. This system completely di-functionalize your vehicle’s ignition system until you go through a security process. The user has to first scan his/her smart license. The scanning unit decodes the information from the smart card and checks if the person has valid license to drive the specific type of vehicle. Then to avoid the cases of theft of DL, we go through another security check which is Biometric Fingerprint Scanning. If all the cases are in favorable state and the person’s validation is allowed for the vehicle, then the system creates a Database storing the information of the person ensuring that this specific user, used this vehicle at this specific date & time and then enables the ignition system of the vehicle. Thus making a centralized database for reducing the cases of under-age driving, personality con and fake blaming and stopping theft at certain level by adding some security barriers.

4) Smart Home

The following study concentrates on building an efficient smart home using mobile application with speech recognition and cloud technology controlling home appliances. The control system includes Bluetooth module with Arduino UNO microcontroller for wireless communication between the user and the appliances through speech commands. A cloud based system was incorporated as a secondary input source to control any of the home appliances from anywhere in the world. An Android application was made for both speech and cloud based control system.

5) Waste management system
Abstract: This proposed work discusses the design of a digital waste management system to enable proper waste disposal. The system uses gas sensor, load sensor for weight and ultrasonic sensor for height measurement to detect any overflow of waste in the dustbins and thereby control any pollution resulting from unwanted, toxic gases from the dustbin. This is done by sending information to the cleaners on appropriate times. The sensors are controlled using an Arduino UNO microcontroller. The notifications regarding the status of the dustbin are sent to the cleaners using a GSM module. The effective technology comprising of sensors for sensing, microcontroller for processing and GSM module for communication, made the waste management system robust and user-friendly.

6) E-Waste recycling machine
Abstract :The following study depicts the development of a small-scale electronic waste recycler (also known in large scale use as waste electrical and electronic equipment-WEEE) made to reduce the dumping of electronic waste and saving the environment from severe chemical degradations. Electronic waste contains various materials such as iron, aluminium, plastic, glass, lead, cadmium, beryllium and other potentially harmful components. The electronic waste recycler is designed to separate out the harmful components such as lead, cadmium, beryllium and magnetic materials such as iron from the lot. Once separated, the recyclable components (plastic, glass) will be recycled and harmful components would be carefully disposed of. Separation takes place through a magnetic separator and eddy current separator.

7) Hydrogen Generator
Abstract : This study delineates the design of an efficient Hydrogen Generator also called Hydrogen-Hydrogen-Oxygen (HHO) generator, which will produce Hydrogen gas that will increase the fuel efficiency of the engine. When any internal combustion engine starts or works, unburned fuel remains after the burning process. This causes air pollution which is one of the biggest challenges faced by automobile industry. This idea of making a hydrogen generator arises because of this pollution which is caused by the vehicles that lead to many harmful environmental effects. The reason of selection of hydrogen gas instead of other gases present is that hydrogen gas is easily available in nature as well as hydrogen fuel is a zero-emission fuel when burned with oxygen. The method which will be used for the production of hydrogen gas from a renewable resource is electrolysis. In this process with the help of electricity water will split into hydrogen and oxygen. This reaction takes place in the unit called an electrolyser. One more benefit of hydrogen is that it is cheap as compared to any other fuel as well as the hydrogen generator is designed in such a way that is could be connected to the engine easily.

8) Text to speech scanner for visually impaired persons
Abstract :The project has introduced an innovative and low cost beneficial technique to convert the contents of the text image into voice and will enable people to hear instead of reading through the text material. It combines the concept of mainly two software, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Text to Speech Synthesizer (TTS) in Raspberry Pi 3(model B). This kind of devices helps visually impaired people to interact with computers effectively through voice interface. The Text-to-speech conversion is a method that will scan and read the English alphanumeric characters that are in the image using tesseract OCR and changing it to voice. The device consists of two modules, image processing module and voice processing module.

9) Guiding robot
Abstract : The current study introduces a guiding robot which helps the blind people to avoid the obstacle and to walk safely in known and unknown areas as well. There are three ultrasonic sensors; one at the bottom, one at the face and the other at the chest region of the robot to detect the obstacles via distance calculation. There are two infrared sensors to detect the potholes in the forward movement. Arduino Mega 2560 in conjunction with motor-motor driver assembly was used to control the robot.
