1) Dr. Biswajeet Champaty

Dr. Biswajeet Champaty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Ajeenkya D Y Patil Unversity, Pune since August 2016. He received his B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology Odisha and M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from SRM University, Chennai. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha.

He has an intense research interest in the field of medical electronics and instrumentation with specialization in biosignal-based intelligent Human-computer interface design for controlling assistive devices. He has extensive expertise in device development for biosignal acquisition, MATLAB based graphical user interface design for real-time signal processing and event monitoring, biosignal-based wireless control of rehabilitative devices and assistive robotics and applications of IoT in healthcare. He has published 4 research publications in referred journals, 23 international publications in various IEEE conferences and 11 book chapters of international repute. 7 of his research papers have received best international paper awards.

2) Ganesh B Pokale

Mr.Ganesh B Pokale is a faculty of School of Engineering at Ajeenkya DY Patil University.  A Metallurgy and Material Science engineer from College of engineering, Pune (COEP). He has a rich industry experience of working before shifting to academia since last 6 years.
He kept  his passion for practising new teaching methodologies.

His core interest include modern materials, education trend studies. He has guides students for under graduate and post graduate studies. He has total 10 international paper publications.
                           
He has joined School of engineering as a full time faculty in 2013.

3) Ms Geeta Susan John
Assistant Professor
School of Engineering


Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune

Ms. Geeta Susan John is a Faculty of General Education &Humanities  at our University. A Post Graduate in Personnel Mgt and Industrial Relations, from M G University ,Cochin, has been a HR professional, an ex-banker and has had over 17 years of Corporate Experience .She is a Certified Trainer in TEFL-Teach English as a Foreign Language from International TEFL Teacher’s Training,(ITTT),Thailand and Business English from ITTT,Thailand. She also has P.G Diploma-Psychometric Testing & Measurement Techniques from Salahkaar Consultants,Pune. She has  enrolled into ADYPU in 2016, as a Faculty-General Education and Humanities and is currently the Chairperson of General Education,Humanities and Enviromental Sciences-Board of Studies in our University.
           
Her core areas of interest include Enhancement of Communication Skills, working on  Soft skills and other areas of competency needed by students to be Corporate ready.
General Education, in essence, augments and rounds out the specialized training students receive in their majors and aims to cultivate a knowledgeable, informed, literate human being. Having commendable interpersonal and leadership skills she is a mentor to students/staff in their personal and professional lives. A great believer in team work is always ahead and leads the team to reach their goals positively and believes that we have to be a good human being first to be a good professional.

When not training/teaching students she loves to spend time in her Kitchen garden, enjoys soft music, visiting new places ,is into fitness, and is associated with a couple of charity work and  NGO’s which gives her the utmost joy and satisfaction in life.

4) Prabir Chakraborty
Assistant Professor
School of Engineering

Mr . Chakraborty is a faculty for the Postgraduate program of “Automotive Product Engineering” program at the School of Engineering . A Physics (Hons.) graduate from Delhi University with Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics from the University of Applied Science in Esslingen , Germany has joined the University as a regular faculty .
Adept in managing operations involving resource planning, production planning, team building-Training & Engineering Skill Development , design & development and co-ordination with the internal departments & external customers.
A result oriented professional with proven success in Project Management, New Product Development & Engineering, Quality Management and Process Improvement in Automobile Industry. Strong technical knowledge of Automobiles – Systems, their Design Criteria, Functional Requirements, Assembly, Testing & Troubleshooting, etc.
After 3 decades of experience with the corporate world , mainly with Automotive industry involved with Product Engineering , Product development , R &D concluding various engineering projects / programs , training and mentoring all user groups has decided to share his knowledge and experience to prepare (train , skill and mentor) the next generation of world engineers to face the real world.

5) Dr. Rakesh A. Afre
Associate Professor
School of Engineering

Dr. Rakesh A. Afre completed his M.Sc (Physics with specialization in Energy Studies) from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, Maharashtra and PhD (Nanotechnology) from Nagoya Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagoya, Japan under guidance of Prof. Tetsuo Soga. After completion of M.Sc he joined as a JRF at IIT Mumbai to work on DST sponsored project entitled “Carbon nanomaterials for solar cell” under guidance of Prof. Maheshwar Sharon, Dept. of Chemistry.

Later he moved to Japan to pursue his PhD degree under Japan Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho). His doctoral studies were focused on “Synthesis of carbon nanotubes by renewable natural precursors” In 2007; he has been awarded with PhD degree and continued his further research on organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices at NIT. Then he moved to KRICT, South Korea for his next assignment to continue research on DSSCs and small molecule OPVs. Furthermore, he moved to Australia to continue his research on fabrication of transparent electrodes using nanomaterials for OPVs and then to Ethiopia as a Professor.

He came back to India and joined Walchand Center for Research in Nanotechnology and Bionanotechnology (wcRnb), WCAS, Solapur as a HOD of Nanotechnology department under eminent directors Dr. Madhuri Sharon and Prof. Maheshwar Sharon.

6)Shital Dilip Solanki
Assistant Professor,
M.Tech(IMCA), NET(RANK-47), SET, B.ED.
Ajeenkya DY Patil University-SOE, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Ms. Shital Solanki is Assistant Professor of Mathematics. She is been awarded a gold medal in BSc(Maths),  completed M.Tech(IMCA) from the Nowrosjee Wadia college, Pune, she has four years of teaching experience at Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune and one year of experience at COEP.
                            
Her core interest areas include Graph theory, Operations Research, Real Analysis and Algebra. She has attended National level one week workshop on “Applications of Mathematics in Engineering Education” conducted at IIT Guwahati, attended two
National Conferences on ‘Emerging trends in Soft Computing’ and on ‘Discrete Mathematics’ and National Seminar on ‘Applications of Mathematics and Statistics in Life Sciences’. 

In addition to her teaching responsibilities she also works as an ERP coordinator of the University. She is a member of Board of Studies for School of Engineering. She also guides M.Tech students in projects such as Suspension System, Process Control, Simulation Models etc. She also enjoys conducting different training programs for students on topics like Vedic Mathematics, Joy of Numbers, Mathematical Modeling using Scilab etc.
